My deep love of animals (including my own rescue cats Little Minouche, Big Louie, and Miss Sophie) led me to do this project. I solicited the more than 200 true, poignant rescue stories, photos and inspiring life lessons via an open invitation through social media. Through book sale proceeds, I hope to inspire more pet adoptions and promote animal welfare.

Animals feel emotions like we do. They know when they have been saved. Their capacity to love is endless, their gratitude undeniable. And, just as we were there in their darkest hour, they are always there for ours.
